The XCMG D-170-LGP (Low Ground Pressure) variant weighs 19,400 kg and is purpose-configured for operations on soft, wet, or sensitive ground — conditions commonly encountered in tropical plantation forestry. The wider track configuration reduces ground pressure to just 26–30 kPa, distributing machine weight across a larger footprint and enabling operation in wet-season conditions where standard dozers would become bogged.
